Cleaning Solutions

Our premium cleaning solutions have been uniquely formulated for the flexographic print industry.

At the core of flexographic print is the anilox roller, which is a critical element to the print process. These are precision engineered components that need to be maintained to the highest degree, to enable them to consistently deliver a high quality of print and press productivity.

With over 20 years of print experience, Print Tech Solutions understands the flexographic print process and composition of anilox rollers. Despite being manufactured with a premium steel or aluminium core, the outer layer of the anilox roller is ceramic, which has millions of intricate cells. If these cells are left to become clogged with dried ink or damaged, it will have a significant impact on the print quality and productivity your business will achieve.

Dirty and damaged anilox rollers will cost your business time, resource and money.

Our innovative range of cleaning solutions have been designed to safely and effectively clean your anilox rollers, without causing corrosion or damage to them or the rubber elements, print plates, doctor blades, pumps or ink chambers.

We take our commitment to safety seriously, which is why all our cleaning solutions are REACH compliant.

Ensuring the safe use of elements to create the various solutions, is not to the detriment of performance our specially formulated cleaning solutions provide.

Premium Performance Press Cleaning Solution. AquaSol was our initial specifically formulated cleaning solution for the removal of water and UV based inks and coatings from all areas of the printing process.

It has evolved over the years to meet the specific needs of the print process, whilst being REACH compliant. With a distinct focus on anilox rollers, AquaSol has been developed to be safe, non-caustic, non-aggressive, but effective in cleaning.

It is suitable for use on anilox rollers, rubber rollers, polymer plates, ink pumps and doctor blade chambers.

The smallest amount of contamination within the anilox cells can have serious detrimental effects on ink lay down and subsequent print quality.

The result of contamination is high levels of print rejects and operators spending considerable time and money reformulating ink strengths to achieve target ink densities. However, this is an unsustainable method to achieve high-level of print if anilox rollers are dirty, clogged or damaged.

It is essential that anilox cells are maintained correctly to ensure consistent print quality and productivity.

• Pump around print units or apply directly using clean cloths, or pressure sprayers.
• For UV based inks – use the product neat.

Premium Performance Press Cleaning Solution, but Concentrated. With the continued environmental pressures, we understand that businesses need to make changes to meet their targets set. Our AquaSolx4 was developed to not only provide cost savings, but to have reduce environmental impact.

AquaSolx4 is a concentrated formulation of our main AquaSol product. It is suitable for all the same cleaning applications as AQUASOL, but being 4x more concentrated, you only use a quarter of the amount each time, by diluting AquaSolx4, which gives significant cost savings for larger users and print production plants.

Using AquaSolx4 will have a significant positive impact on your business, through:

• 75% reduction in IBC use and disposals
• 75% reduction in delivery of cleaning solution
• 75% reduction in man-hours, moving cleaning solutions
• 75% reduction in administration

And reductions in relation to CO2 emissions.

AquaSolx4 is specially formulated for the removal of water and UV based inks and coatings for all areas of the printing process.

Suitable for use on anilox rollers, rubber rollers, polymer plates, ink pumps and doctor blade chambers. You can use AquaSolx4 with the reassurance that it won’t cause damage of erosion of your anilox roll.

For Direct Cleaning of Anilox Cells. When maintenance schedules are pushed back, or sometimes due to the types of inks being used, ink deposits will build up on the anilox rollers. Deterioration of print quality is the consequence of clogged cells in the anilox rollers.

CellGel has been specifically developed to remove caked on ink deposits from anilox cells.

It is also extremely effective as an Ultrasonic Pre-Treatment for very dirty rollers, helping to reduce the cleaning operation, saving time and money.

• Available in 1L containers
• Non-Caustic, Non-Corrosive
• REACH Compliant
• Environmentally friendly
• Manufactured with a blend of Citrus Turpines derived from lemons
• Suitable for removal of most inks, varnishes and coatings
• Aluminium and alloy safe

• Apply neat gel to the surface of the DRY anilox roller, wiping evenly around the face of the roller.
• Agitate the gel around the roller face with an anilox cleaning pad.
• Wrap the anilox roller with film, allowing the gel to work for as long as possible (up to 48 hours).
• Remove film, wipe the roller with a clean cloth. Wash remaining gel off with clean warm water and a general press cleaning solution if available.
• Allow the roller to air dry and avoid touching the engraved surface with hands.
• Repeat the process if the roller is extremely dirty.
• If using as a ‘pre-treatment’ for ultrasonic cleaning – apply and leave for 1 hour, wipe off all gel from the roller surface. Before the roller dries, commence with your normal Ultrasonic cleaning procedure.
